Computer repairs are charged at a flat rate of $45 per incident for systems brought to the shop.   All estimates are free, written estimates for insurance companies [lightening strikes ] are $30 (normally your insurance company will pay this).

 

Business hours are Monday Wednesday Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. If you need something "right away" you may be tempted to look elsewhere . . . but you will pay much more. Shop and compare prices! 

Services include repair/replacement of hardware, software trouble shooting, and inkjet printer cleaning/lubricating.

Storms can damage computers. Energy from a lightening strike will follow both the electrical wiring and the phone lines in your home or office. During a storm, unplug your computer, monitor and phone cord!  Many people know about unpluging their computer, but many leave the phone cord plugged into their modem. The most common symptom of a lightening zapped computer is that it won't start. The causes for the start failure can be numerous. Normally, the power supply takes the major hit (this is where the power surge first enters the computer) and can be diagnosed by observing if the fan at the back of your computer case is working. The motherboard can also fall victim as can the modem (if you forget to unplug it). If the modem takes a hit the computer won't  start, even if nothing else is damaged. Pull the damaged modem out and all is well (not with the modem, of course it will need to be replaced).
